Make Too Large Dust Ruffle Fit with Duct Tape

Last winter I bought a really nice comforter set at a good price, but it was a queen and the bed is a full size. The dust ruffle was quite large but no problem, I grabbed the roll of duct tape and the fit was perfect in no time. Spring came and the heavy comforter came off. Out came the duct tape and the lightweight dust ruffle was taped on top of the winter ruffle. I added the lightweight spring/summer comforter and had a whole new room.

Need advice how to make queen fitted sheet fit onto a double size mattress. There's too much fabric for it to fit smoothly.

Yet another use for duct tape and since it won't be seen (hopefully,) it wouldn't matter if you used regular silver or colored, which they have nowadays.
