Spreading Salt on Sidewalks or Driveways

An empty parmesan cheese container works perfectly as a salt or gravel spreader for those icy spots in the winter driveway.

I use an empty parm. cheese container to hold twist-ties and rubber bands. The twisties go inside of it and the rubber bands I stretch around the outside of it. I think I've had this container for five years now and quite honestly, it's probably the best idea I've ever had!
