Hawaiian Burger Recipe

I am looking for a recipe from the 70's for Hawaiian burgers. They are hamburger patties with pineapple rings in the middle and one of the sauce ingredients is Hawaiian Punch syrup.

Chicken or Turkey Wild Rice Casserole

Ingredients

  • 2 cups diced cooked chicken or turkey
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup diced celery
  • 1 can sliced water chestnuts
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 3 tsp. minced onion
  • 1 box Uncle Ben's Wild Rice Mix
  • prepared according to box directions

Directions

Optional toppings are shredded cheese or 1/2 cup melted margarine and 1 cup crushed cornflakes mixed together. Combine all ingredients. Place in 9 in. square pan or 3 qt. casserole. Cover with topping. Bake uncovered 1 hour at 375 degrees F.

Corn Bread

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 3/4 cup cornmeal
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 Tbsp. oil

Directions

Mix flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda together. add cornmeal and mix well. Add buttermilk, egg and oil stirring well. Pour into a baking dish. Bake 25 minutes at 425 degrees F.

Stuffed Round Steak

Ingredients

  • 2 large round steaks (tenderized)
  • 1 lb. sausage
  • 1 package stuffing mix
  • 2 cans undiluted Golden Mushroom soup

Directions

Brown sausage and drain well. Prepare stuffing. Mix sausage and stuffing together and spread over the steak. Roll the steak tightly taking care to tuck ends in and fasten with toothpicks. Lay in crock pot and pour soup over the steak rolls. Cook 2 hours on high setting and then 6-8 hours on low. To serve, remove and slice into servings. Serves 6-8 people.

Zucchini Bread

Zucchini Bread I

Ingredients:

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 medium sized zucchini, (grated and well drained, must have 2 cups)
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp. almond extract
  • 2 cup flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 tsp. soda
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon

Directions:

Mix ingredients well and pour into greased and lightly floured bread pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until done.

Zucchini Bread II

Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 cups zucchini (shredded)
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 cup nuts (chopped)

Directions

Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour bottom only of 2 loaf pans. In a large bowl, blend all ingredients except nuts until moistened; beat 1 minute at medium speed. Stir in nuts. Pour batter into prepared bread pans. Bake at 350 degrees F for 45 to 55 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes; loosen edges and remove from pan. Makes 2 loaves, 24 slices.

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs (beaten)
  • 1 cup oil
  • 1 1/4 cups brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 2 cups grated zucchini
  • 3 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3 tsp. cinnamon

Directions

Mix and bake 1 hour at 350 degrees F.

Zucchini Bread IV

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup oil
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 3 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. baking powder
  • 3 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts and/or raisins
  • 2 cup zucchini peeled and grated

Directions

Beat eggs, add oil, sugar and vanilla. Mix well. Add zucchini, nuts and dry ingredients. Pour into 2 greased loaf pans. Bake at 325 degrees F for 60-75 minutes.

Mustardy Oven-Baked Chicken

Ingredients

  • 8 chicken breast halves, skinned
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. prepared mustard
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup + 2 Tbsp. grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup soft bread crumbs

Directions

Sprinkle chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Combine mustard and egg beating with a wire whisk until well blended. Combine cheese and bread crumbs stirring well. Dip chicken in egg mixture and roll in bread crumb mixture.

Let stand at room temperature on wax paper 10 minutes to set coating. Transfer chicken to rack of a roasting pan coated with cooking spray. Bake 40 minutes at 400 degrees F until chicken is tender and coating is lightly brown.

Two Hour Buns

Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk, scalded
  • 2 Tbsp. shortening
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 package yeast
  • 1/4 Tbsp. lukewarm water
  • 3 1/2 cups flour

Directions

Combine milk, shortening, sugar and salt. Heat and then cool to lukewarm. Add yeast dissolved in water. Add egg and stir in flour to make soft dough. Cover and let rise two hours or until doubled. Shape into buns or rolls. Let rise until double in bulk. Bake for 25 minutes at 350 degrees F or until golden.

Oyster and Corn Bake

Ingredients

  • 1 can cream style corn
  • 1 can oysters with liquid
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 cup cracker crumbs

Directions

Mix all together. Put in greased baking dish. Top with 1/2 cup buttered cracker crumbs. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees F.

Pizza Style Spaghetti

Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 lb. cooked spaghetti
  • 2 jars spaghetti sauce
  • 1 1/2 cup thinly sliced pepperoni
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Directions

Beat milk and eggs together. Toss with cooked spaghetti. Spread mixture in large flat baking dish. Top with spaghetti sauce. Arrange pepperoni over top. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees F. Let stand 5 minutes before cutting into squares. Browned hamburger and mushrooms can also be added with the pepperoni. Can be made the night before and stored in the refrigerator. Can also be frozen.
