Craft Project: Driver's License Cake Topper

Driver's License Celebration Cake Topper

Driver's License Celebration Cake Topper

I was short on time but wanted to have a little afterschool surprise for my daughter who her passed her driver's test today. So I whipped out a chocolate chip cookie mix, spread it in a square pan and made this funny topper, which includes the new driver and her older sister, with my photo software. You could also just cut a car from a magazine and paste the faces on it.

Approximate Time 10 minutes

Supplies:

  • Photo of the driver
  • Photo of the rider
  • Photo of a funny car
  • Toothpicks
  • Tape

Instructions:

Using a photo software program, cut out the faces from the photos and place them in the car.

Make it large enough to fit an 8-1/2 by 11 sheet and cut it out.

Attach toothpicks on back with tape and top your cake or dessert.

If you are a scrapbooker, be sure to make an extra one!

What a great idea. You could use the car and driver picture for other things also, like a 50's party, a graduation, confirmation, etc. Thanks for sharing!!

Very thoughtful of you to make her day even more special. All the best of luck to your daughter but please tell her to drive very safely and always take a second look.
