Robust Italian Soup
- 1 lb. bulk Italian sausage
- 1 can tomato sauce (8oz.)
- 3 cans chicken broth
- 3 cup shredded leaf lettuce
- 1 cup shell macaroni, small size
- salt and pepper, to taste
Crumble brown and drain sausage; set aside. Cook macaroni according to package directions and drain; set aside. Combine tomato sauce, chicken broth, seasonings and sausage in a soup kettle. Bring to a boil, then simmer for about 10 minutes. Add macaroni and shredded lettuce and heat through. Serves 6-8.
