Removing Soot From Jar Candles
Rubbing Alcohol on a paper towel will remove the black soot from a jar candle.

If you will blow out your candle from time to time and trim the wick to 1/4 inch, it won't soot up as badly. Don't let the wick get too long between trimmings Aunt Sharon from Texas
