RE: Pouring Ketchup Faster
This tip works!! Just tap on the number "57" on the side of the bottle as you tip the open end towards your plate. It comes out great. BTW, Knives work too, but in a restaurant, I'd be afraid someone had put their dirty knife into the jar. bleh! germs!

Before opening the bottle, hold it upside down and flick your wrist so the ketchup is at the end of the bottle. Open the end and squeeze/pour out the ketchup.

I'm a waitress and know the tricks. You never want to keep ketchup out of the fridge cause if it gets too warm, the gases inside make it explode when you open it. Yuck. But its ok to run under warm water before you use it. It won't raise the temp too much, but will make it run our like salad dressing!

Best way to get ketchup out of the bottle nicely, is to lightly tap on the label, while holding it at an angle...
RE: Pouring Ketchup Faster
I bought a bottle of ketchup that sits upside down . The cap is on the bottom. It is a plastic squeeze bottle.I don't evenn remember the brand, but if this is not the brand you prefer, when it is empty, refill it with your favorite brand. Or to save even more money, buy the ketchup in a gallon can. After you open it, store in the refrigerator in large glass or plastic container. Ketchup does not spoil after opening if it is refrigerated. And you can buy a gallon for about the same money as 3 bottles. Harlean from Arkansas
Ketchup Tip
Don't just pound on the bottom of a stubborn ketchup bottle. Run the blade of a table knife around the inside of the neck; then tip the bottle & watch the ketchup flow. When you've finished a bottle of ketchup, make use of the residue: add a little water or vinegar & shake, then use the liquid to enliven soups, stews, or salad dressings.
