How old is your freezer? The chemical odor just may be leaking freon! I would be very careful! If possible get a refrigeration expert to look at it!

Put in some pieces of coal, sure it will solve your problem.

I purchased a used fridge, and the freezer has an overpowering floral cleaning product scent. I have washed it numerous times and tried baking soda, but it still smells like air freshener. It's not disgusting, but I'd like to get rid of it so my food doesn't taste like Glade. Any suggestions?

You can try using loosely wadded up newspaper and/or activated charcoal. These have gotten some really nasty smells out for me. I never tried using it in a freezer though. Sometimes it requires several treatments so don't give up after the first try.
