- 14 oz. pkg. caramels
- 2/3 cup evaporated milk
- 1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
- 3/4 cup butter (melted)
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Heat caramels with 1/3 cup milk to melt. Set aside. Combine cake mix, butter, and remaining 1/3 cup milk. Mix well. Press 1/2 of the dough into greased 9xqe pan. Bake 5-10 minutes at 350 degrees F. Remove from oven and sprinkle with chocolate chips. Pour melted caramel mixture over chips. Spoon on remaining dough. Bake 20 minutes at 350.
