Yes, great answer when you paint make sure its a paint for bathrooms it helps prevent mold and mildew, too.
I second what Cajun said--works great! A tip for cleaning the ceiling above the shower of mold: make up some bleach water in a bucket and use a foam-head mop to swab it down. Make sure you've squeezed out the mop enough beforehand so it doesn't drip on you.
Wash the area down with a solution of Chlorine Bleach & Water and then apply KILZ Primer to the surface and repaint. (Available in Paint Depts., even Wallyworld)
