Spiffing up Plastic Buttons

You can spiff up plastic buttons by coating them with nail polish (if you are careful, you can do it without even taking them off...) I have painted plain white plastic buttons with pearlescent nail polish to make them look richer.

If you are afraid of getting it on your clothes you could cut a small slit in a piece of paper or thin cardboard & slip it over the button & paint away. Just be careful not to make it to big & not too much polish. Hope this helps.
