Mix butter and sugar until fluffy. Add the beaten yolks and the flour, milk, salt, lemon peel and lemon juice. Mix all together. Beat the egg whites until stiff and not dry. Fold the egg whites into the first mixture. Pour into the unbaked pie shell. Bake in 375 degree F oven for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 300 degrees F. Bake 45 minutes more until golden brown. Cool on rack.
