Dusty was 7 years old. She died last week from a common chinchilla disease. She was a Standard Chinchilla. My son and my husband were at home together due to a school snow day about 7 years ago.
To my surprise, Dusty joined our family that day. She loved to run around in our basement and "bounce" off the walls. We loved her very, very much and will miss her every day!

She's so beautiful. I am sure she's up there in the spirit world perhaps playing with my cat who died a few months ago so I understand your loss. May she rest in peace.
I am so sorry for your loss but I am so glad you were all able to love each other for seven years. What a Blessing.

Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to
All the animals who have been ill and old are restored to
health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made
whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our
dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing,
they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops
and looks into the distance. His/her bright eyes are intent;
his/her eager body begins to quiver. Suddenly s/he begins to
run from the group, flying over the green grass, his/her legs
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend
meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted
again. The happy kisses rain upon your face, your hands again
caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting
eyes of your pet, so long gone form your life but never absent
from your heart.
Then together you and your special pet cross the Rainbow Bridge.
She was adorable! I don't know much about chinchillas, but she looks like she'd be a lot of fun. Sorry for your loss!
