Baked Sauerkraut

I'm not usually a fan of sauerkraut, but this is really very good! I like the combination of other ingredients. They blend well and make the taste of the sauerkraut not seem quite so strong.


  • 1 large can sauerkraut, drained
  • 1 can tomatoes, well drained
  • 4-6 slices bacon
  • 1 medium onion
  • Ad
  • 1 cup brown sugar


Chop bacon into small pieces and fry with onion until bacon is crisp. Drain off all grease, except 3-4 tablespoons. Mix with remaining ingredients and bake in 350 degree F oven for 1 hour.

Cooking Time: 60 Minutes
