Can a female dog get pregnant by two different dogs?
By Luis from CA
I too wondered about that and did research on the 'net to learn the answer. Yes. A female can have two different mates producing two different litters. The different litters will take on characteristics of their ma and pa (sire/dame) It is still considered a mixed breed of pups. The time frame for this to happen must be w/i close range of each mating as it takes a set amount of days for birthing, anything past that time frame can mean loss of pups as they won't be mature enough to make it.
Yes! They can!
Absolutely! Happens in cats more often. Every kitten or puppy can have a different father. Especially if they mate on the same day with different fathers.
