I have a Hitachi HB-B101 bread machine and I have lost my recipe book and all I need is the one recipe that makes the white bread. I also need the ingredients and how they are listed.

Thank You,
Sherry from Wasilla, AK

Hello Kiki! I just "inherited" the hitachi hb 101 bread breaker and have no manual or recipe book. Is there any chance you could email it to me?
Oh please! bettyjrubner AT yahoo.com

Kirei asked for the recipe book for the Hitachi bread maker, so I dug around and found the original. The table of contents includes: The "Bread" Menu-Basic Loaf Bread, Bran Bread, Whole Wheat Bread, Carrot Bread and White Bread; The "Mix Bread" Menu- Raisin Bread, Walnut Bread, Apricot Bread, Mixed Vegetable Bread and Egg Bread; The "Dough" Menu, Dinner Rolls Doughnuts, Brioche, Petit Bread, Pizza, Baked Animal Shapes, French Bread and Croissants. If anyone would like a copy, just let me know.

We have had a Hitachi bread maker donated to a yard sale our organization is having this weekend. It is pristine and looks to be top of the line. I am wondering what you think of yours? Also, how much would you pay for one at a yard sale? The donor priced it $50, which seems to be way too much...but she is out of town and will never know if we re-price it. I am thinking of buying it myself.

For those of you that are confused about the measuring components of the HB-B101 bread making machine, they are as follows: For the measuring spoon that is included with the bread maker, a "Large" refers to 1 Tablespoon; a "Medium" refers to 1 teaspoon; and a "Small" refers to a 1/2 teaspoon. When the recipe uses the measuring cup that is included with the bread maker, it is the same as the measuring cups that you would use for liquid measurements. For example, if the recipe in the manual calls for a "3/4 measuring cup of water" use a standard measuring cup used for liquids and fill it with water up to the 3/4 marking. The same instructions apply for the dry ingredients, e.g. "2 measuring cups of bread flour" correspond to 2 standard cups of flour.

Kiki, Or any others who have received the pdf file, will you please forward that to me as well? I just got the HB-B102 breadmaker at a sale but it did not have a manual and I am not sure how to change the setting to make mixed breads. Thanks for sending it to me at chacowako AT hotmail.com

Here is a good wheat bread recipe for a HB-B101, and it is vegan:

1 pound wheat bread:

1 1/4 cup water, about 90 degrees

2 TBL Oil - corn/olive/canola

1/3 cup brown sugar

1 1/2 tsp salt

2 TBL Almond Meal

2 1/2 cup whole wheat flour

1/4 cup wheat glutton

2 1/4 tsp yeast

1) Put all dry ingredients(except yeast) into a bowl and wisk to mix

2) Add yeast to water and mix with fork, sit for 5 minutes

3) Put water, yeast and oil into bin, add dry ingredients

4) Start bread machine on either white or wheat cycle.

Thank you very much, Lisa! I've just got my bread machine itachi HB-B102 at Goodwill without manual. I guess HB101 manual works for my machine. I'm so glad, Lisa. God bless you!

Kiki, if you would, please email me a copy of the manual also. I was given the machine w/o manual so haven't a clue how to use it. I so would like to make my own healthy bread without all the chemicals that are being used. Thanks deethundercloud AT hotmail.com

I too have misplaced the instruction/recipe book. Could you email me a copy? DiCleary2@aol.com

Also, my machine makes 1.5 pound loaf. Anyone have ideas on how to convert a 2 lb. recipe into a 1.5 lb. recipe for my machine?

Alas, I have also lost my manual for this great machine. It made it through two moves, but the third one did it in. If someone has this in a PDF format and can sent it to me, I will post it on our website with a link. Please send to larrydlynch2000 AT yahoo.com.

I have lost the measuring cup to my Hitachi HB-B101 Bread machine. Does anyone know where I can acquire another one? The measurements listed in the bread recipes... does 3 cups of flour mean 3 of the normal measuring cups or 3 of the Hitachi cup? I am so lost without the cup. PLEASE HELP. Thanks, Terri B., San Jose

I have the Hitachi HB-B101 Manual and would be glad to share with others. The file is in a .pdf format, and I am not sure how to send it out to those that need it, since your website only accepts photos. Any thoughts!

After I baked a loaf and it only filled up about 2/3 of the pan, I figured out why my recipe is different than the one Mike posted. His is for a large loaf, while mine was for "Medium size."

I have the same problem, but the recipe is on the side of the machine (and it is surprising to see it isn't the same as Mikes!):
Water: 3/4 cup
Bread Flour: 2 cups
Salt: 1 teaspoon
Sugar: 2 tablespoons
Butter: 1 tablespoon
Dry milk: 1 tablespoon
Dry yeast: 1-1 1/2 teaspoons

1. Pour 3/4 cup of water into the bread pan.
2. Add all dry ingredients except the DRY yeast.
3. Place the DRY yeast on top of the DRY flour. Do not mix.
4. Press the START button

Your oven-fresh bread will be ready in 4 hours and 10 minutes. It is more convenient if you use the built-in delay timer.

Sorry that this is so late, but I have the same machine (with the recipe book). Here goes:

White Bread (large size)

Water 9/16 cup (4.6 oz)
Fresh milk 9/16 cup
bread flour 3 cups
salt 1 1/2 teaspoons
sugar 3 tablespoons
butter 1 1/2 tablespoons
dry yeast 1 teaspoon ("bread" setting)
2 teaspoons ("bread rapid" setting)

Hope this helps!

At the top right of your Thriftyfun page you should see "Search for Answers" in a box. Type in bread machine white bread. Your search results should say Bread Machine Recipes for White bread. You will find one result that has 14 responses. If you will read through those responses you will find one from Trudy Powell who gives a recipe from her Hitachi breadmaker book.
