Is canned pink salmon OK to feed dogs?

From what I understand it is very good for dogs but always make sure it's cooked because there are parasites in raw fish that can be deadly to dogs (and cats and humans). I also would feed it in small amounts or as an occasional treat because salmon is high in fat though.
