We have just purchased a Phillips portable CD/DVD player. The picture is way too dark and the instructions are too complicated for my (very untechnical) brain to work out. Does anyone have one like mine and if so, how in the world do you sort out the picture so that it is not so dark? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Well if you still have the instruction manual there should be a phone number or a web page to contact Philips support group. If not you could go to consumer.philips.com and click on contact and support and write them what your problem is with the contrast via e mail.
