I'm remodeling a kitchen. I have white appliances, brown flooring, the walls are single wall T and G brown with a shade of gray. They chose a cherry wood for cabinets. What color counter tops would somebody suggest?
I would go with a dark brick red. It's a kind of reddish-brown. You definetly want the stainless steel sink.

I would keep my counter top neutral. A formica top in a warm beige with flecks of darker beiges and browns would look nice. Even a warm brown with specs of black would also match. You can add color with paint, accessories, etc. Colored counter tops will decrease your resale value.

My husband and I have put in antiqued off white cabinets in our 1930 (small) kitchen. We also wanted to do hardwoods but because of sub-flooring concerns did not do this and added cherry wood laminate floors. Any thoughts on what we should do for a counter top and a sink?
