I have some college text books to get rid of. Does anyone know where I can get rid of them? I tried cash4books, but they only took one. Is there anywhere that I can donate them to?

Call the college and see if they buy back used books. If they will you won't get much for them. Or donate to the Good Will or Salvation Army and get a receipt for income tax.
You could try BookMooch, that way would be able to get something in return.
I too would say call the college because they buy used text books and resell them as used for students who can't afford new. You can also donate them to your local public library.
