Strawberries are Being Over Watered

My strawberries start to rot when it has a lot of water. What should I do to protect them against sitting in water and rotting?

If you cannot raise the bed they're in, so that they are higher than the surrounding soil, maybe you can make little trenches around the beds to divert the water.
