Do I need to make the baking soda into a paste? What quantites of vinager do i use in wash plus does the vinager need to be add to water inthe rinse holder? Ive seen other sites and they suggest vinager to be the best for getting smells out of clothes, why is that? What is borax? Yes it is available in Australia.Thankyou for your replies

Try rubbing baking soda into the fabric. And put vinegar into the wash and rinse.

don't know if you have borateem or borax in the grocery in australia but that is what i use to get gas out of my husbands clothes. it also helps to dry them outside....sometimes for a few days! 1/2 cup borax and the usual in soap and the hottest water you can use.
