The city of Houston just put everyone on restrictions concerning watering outdoor plants. Mine are all potted patio plants. The rule is twice a week depending upon whether you are on the even or odd side of the street.
I have found that the red in my red begonias is more intense and my potted crepe myrtle has more intense color and is growing some. My pothos and wandering Jew are flourishing with all this "neglect". I think I have a new rule for all my summers to come.
