Shadow (Yorkshire Terrier)

What is your pet's name? Hi, Meet Shadow! Shadow is a Yorkshire Terrier. I like to call him a Terror! Shadow came by his name because he always follows me around. He is my little shadow. Where I go, my Shadow goes. :)

Shadow is only 4 months old so he is still real hyper. He steals socks and tears up tissues and paper towels all over the house! I got shadow from a breeder who sold me Shadow as a pet quality dog. I am not going to breed or show so I don't need anything real expensive. I got him as a Christmas gift to myself since I just got separated from my husband.

In this photo we were at the beach and it was so cold that my son put Shadow in his coat. Shadow kept popping his head out to see if it was safe to come out. A big gust of wind would come up and Shadow would tuck his head back in Chris' coat.

How sweet--but no thanks. I would never be able to handle what you have to put up with if you take care of him properly. Yorkies need special care: Sometimes (eew) you must pull out their ear hair, pick out the sleepy in the eyes and brush the fur carefully because they do not have an undercoat as most dogs do. Also, many owners have caused their dog's deaths by walking them on leashes because their esophagus is not very strong.

He looks like my dog--Misty. Even though Misty is a four year old Lhasa Apso mix with a Jack Russell Terrier and a Scottie, he has the face of my sweet little sugar.

Have fun with Shadow!

Shadow is a little "doll". Bet he gets lots of hugs. I prefer dogs to my ex-husband also.

Oh no! Another human 'gone to the dogs'! Carry on substituting dogs for husbands and you will end up like me - but very happy! LOL! What a sweetie! I was thinking that today as my Jack Russell was up on the computer desk peeping impishly around the screen of the laptop - occasionally slipping his paw out onto my arm to indicate he wanted a scratch!

Regards

Jo

Your Shadow is really cute. I, too, have a Yorkie - a 12 yr old female. Growing up we had only Yorkie's too. Don't they have the cutest, sweetest personalities with a bit of the devil thrown in. Thanks for sharing.

Hi, your Shadow is so cute. I too have a Yorkie, Wilbur (Wee Willie). He's two years old and weighs 3.2 lb. He is so small but thinks he is a doberman. In fact my niece's doberman was scared to death of him. He is very loving and loves to chase squirrels and crows off the property. I hope the picture of him in his "yorkie" coat gets added.

Shadow is sooo cute! He seems like a really sweet puppy. Don't worry he will most likely grow out of tearing up things around the house. Thanks for sharing your picture, your family and Shadow are all very lucky to have each other.
