Use a Gridded Stabilizer When Quilting

Make the quickest most accurate quilt you'll ever make using a gridded stabilizer. It's made with one inch squares, but you can use any size squares you want. I place the squares in the area I choose, use the tip of my iron to make them stick till I get all the squares on. Now you just iron the fabric down, fold on the lines at the squares edges, and simply sew a straight line. One direction first, then the other direction. It's so fast and looks perfectly accurate. It's fun and it really is that simple, I love it.

Ardis, I'm good following until I get to--fold on the lines at the squares edges--then I'm lost. I truly would like to do your way of easy quilting. I have to make six quilts by Christmas and would like more info...thank you, bdon1

I need help understanding your directions please.

I have used light weight stabilizer previously, but it is on individual blocks before I sew them into strips.

Ardis What an absolutely splendid idea. I didn't stop to think there might even be a graded stabilizer product out there.

Live 50 miles from Phoenix and don't get there often enough to browse. Now I know it's available and can order it online. Thanks a lot.

I agree with Arlene. Could you make the directions a little clearer?

I can't understand this at all. Can you explain a little better. Thank you.
