Holiday Pudding

Crush vanilla wafers or graham crackers and sprinkle them on the bottom of an oblong pan. Next, add a layer of English walnut pieces. Now make a pudding of the following:
  • 5 egg yolks
  • 1 qt. milk
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • corn starch to thicken
When this is cooked, while still hot, add the beaten egg whites and 2 cups mincemeat. Slowly pour this over crumbs and nuts. Bake in 350 degrees F oven 10-15 minutes.
