CDs featuring songs from your wedding make great favors. Your guests will enjoy receiving a gift that is thoughtful and not just a store bought favor that will sit in a drawer and collect dust. It is inexpensive and easy to burn custom cds on your home computer and create custom cases and labels. Many brands of printable labels have free templates on their websites. Don't forget to include songs that are appealing to guests of all ages and generations. You could even record a personal message as the first track.
If you purchase music on iTunes you can burn 4 copies legally.

You would have to get the permission from each song that you put on the cd inorder to use it legally. otherwise it would be copywrite infringment, (unless each and every receipent already purchased the song).

We made CD favors for our wedding and they came out great! We put our favorite songs, pictures of our family, and video clips of us too! We got these cool personalized CD labels to go on the front of them -- to match the theme colors of our wedding. they looks very elegant. we got them from: http://sophiesfavors.com/custfavdiy_cdcover_antiqueflourish.htm

What an awesome idea! Music is such a powerful mood setter and memory trigger, it will definately evoke great memories off your special day for your guests for years to come. Don't forget to keep a copy for yourselves though!

Would there be a problem with copyright violation? I have a nephew who records music that he has written and performed, but I wonder about the legality of recording someone else's stuff.
