Preparing plants grown indoors for transplanting outdoors. They need to be gradual acclimatized to the conditions. To do this takes 7-10 days. On the first day, the plants are placed outdoors in a sheltered spot for no more than 2 hours, and then brought back indoors. Increase this gradually every day, 4 hours on the second, 6 hours on the third, and so on. If the weather is bad (cold and rainy, windy, etc), it is ok to miss a day, or even two, then carry on where you left off, increasing the time a couple of hours a day.
