When ordering checks, have only your initials printed in the heading with your address.

When signing your checks, use your full name (first and last).

If your checks are stolen, the thief won't know your first name(s) by looking on the checks. Any checks signed with your initials are easily identified as stolen!

Cheryl, I never thought of that. What a great idea! Next time I have my checks made, I'll do that.
