I feel your pain trying to figure out what works best. I have a black lab mix who loves to mess with skunks. So I've had to figure what works through trial and error. Lots of error, like tomato juice (does not work). Peroxide/bake mix, after a few washes and drying his coat it does work. But the best I've personally tried is something called DoggiCleen. In just one wash it competely removes all the skunk smell. It was awesome and afforable. I love telling others about it, cause if your pet gets sprayed, you need this. Tomato juice masks the smell. People seem to rave about the hydrogen peroxide mix.
