Contacting the President for an Anniversary

My parents will be married 50 years in May. I would like info to contact the Presidents Office to have a congratulations letter generated.

I did this last year. I just googled 'presidential greetings'. I think it needs to be done 6-10 weeks ahead of time. My parents were thrilled.

Whitehouse.gov has an internet site

I did this for my parents 50th...but never got the card however
I advise the mail system!

Here's the procedure:

At least six weeks in advance, mail a written request for a greeting to:
The White House
Attn: Greetings Office
Washington, D.C. 20502-0039

Make sure to include the following:
the name and address of the recipient
the date of the occasion
for a birthday, include the age of the recipient
for an anniversary, include the number of years married Must be 50 or more years
If all goes as planned , the card should be mailed 10 days before the event.

Just make sure they like who ever the current president is, or else it will be a bomb gift.
