To make a excellent cold pac, fill a large tube sock about 3/4 full with rice. Keep in freezer for those headaches, aches and pains, etc.

This also makes a great portable 'heating pad' when microwaved for 2-3 minutes. I did this with my Brownie troop last year.

Fill old gloves up and keep them in the freezer. The kids love them and they fit so nice on an "owey". I like using those cheap stretchy ones.

Makes a great heat pack, too. Stick into the microwave for a couple of minutes until warm.
