Pearl, kinda sparks an under the sea theme doesnt it? If you really want to be creative, but for something more traditional check the party stores they tend to carry a lot for anniversaries. If possible, a slide show or a movie about the couples life is nice, or if they didn't get a big wedding the first go around, then maybe they would like to renew their vows? Or it might be fun to recreate the year that they met, make it a 70's theme, if it's not too formal. A Backyard BBQ maybe.
