Fresh Peach Cobbler I

Ingredients

  • 4 cups peaches (peeled and sliced)
  • 2 cups sugar (divided)
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 cup milk

Directions

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Combine peaches and 1 cup sugar; set aside. Melt margarine in a 9x13 inch glass dish. Combine all remaining ingredients; mix until all lumps are gone. Pour over margarine and spoon fruit on top of batter. Bake at 325 degrees F for 50-60 minutes.

Fresh Peach Cobbler II

Ingredients

  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup milk or buttermilk
  • 1 can peach slices, drained
  • A dash or 2 of cinnamon &/or nutmeg, optional

Directions

Melt butter in a 9 x 13 inch baking dish. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, milk, spices and sugar; pour over melted butter. Pour peaches over batter. Bake at 400 degrees until golden brown.

Very easy to make, delicious hot or cold!

Fresh Peach Cobbler III

Ingredients

  • 6-7 fresh peaches
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup margarine

Directions

Slice peaches in 9x9 inch pan. Add 1/2 cup sugar and mix. Mix remaining sugar and 1 cup flour with baking powder and cinnamon. Stir in egg and use fingers to make crumbly. Put over peaches. Pour melted margarine over top. Bake at 350 degrees F for about 45 minutes or until brown and bubbly.
