Make an area in your kitchen for important information. We have a phone in our kitchen and under it I have our billing center. I have an in and out box for mail and beside it is a place for envelopes, stamps and pens. Above this area is a calendar marked with everything I would need to pay in a month (or what comes out each day).

Beside this area is a table that I do my crafts on with two drawer storage containers beside it. Above my craft table I have made a bulletin board with goals, to do list, emergency numbers, a quote of the day, etc. on it. On the table by the in and out box are three magazine holders that I use for bills, papers, etc. It came in very handy for me to buy a financial folder to organize each months bills.

It feels so much better when you are organized, especially with things you use everyday.

To keep a meal time fast and family centered. Even if you are in a hurry. I have teens, and we are on the go, so we like to sit and have meals together in a meeting place on trays. That way we can be comfortable. And to organize this . We have trays, then the napkins, and silverware are in a spot on the table that makes everything easy to grab & load a home cooked meal sitting on the stove. I know this sounds odd. But, it has really gave us some family time with our busy family. I believe in keeping a family linked. We also have family discussions with meals at times, as long as it is not a difficult situation. Then for those we have a family meeting. This meal technique has kept us close with our kids, my kitchen organized, and clean up is so much faster, due to everyone doing thier own trays and contents.

I have found so many times that small appliances become a messy clutter zone. Like toasters, grills, coffee makers, mixers, blender, on & on it goes. What i've done, is do the "usage" time. If I use it every day, it's close at hand on the counter next to the "usage zone", if it is something I only use once a week (blender, and grill). I store them away in an easy to reach place. Like my pantry shelf. This really frees up counter space, and organizes what I have to do every day.

I organize my kitchen by usage zones. Wherever my coffee-maker is on the counter, my mugs, sweetener, coffee, etc are in an overhead cabinet. I also store hot tea supplies there. I store all of my baking supplies, pans etc. and mixing bowls, measuring cups etc together. Since glasses are the major thing that needs to be unloaded from the dishwasher, these are stored above the dishwasher.
