Removing Hardened Clay Cat Litter from the Driveway?

How do I clean up cat litter with clay from the driveway? It was on my garage floor and when I swept it out into my driveway the clay stuck to the black top seal. When the litter got wet it turned into a thick gray mass.

I never had that happen with kitty litter, but most likely what would work is a good push brooming and a power wash afterwards with the garden hose.

I'd be interested to know if you received an answer to your cat litter question. I have a similar problem; it was used to de-ice the driveway and now we have clumps of dried powder all over it that does NOT sweep away.

I agree, had a minor flood in laundry room and cant easily clean self clumping litter. Ive been scrapping with a paint scrapper. Just smears it around. Im going to let it be overnight and go at it with a scrub brush and mild soap w/water in bucket.

Then disposable towels to wipe up. Im not putting that stuff in my washer!

I have the same issue on front sidewalk wear I poured it on ice for traction. It's a cementy gooey mess.

Did you figure out a solution to this? I'm having the same issue and have no idea how to get it off the sidewalk.

Pour a lot of pickling vinegar on the area - it turns clumping clay into liquid form.
Wear gloves and use paper towels or very absorbent rags to wipe the area from the edges towards a central spot or corner.

Dispose of paper towels / rags when they're full of liquified clay.
Let it dry out and find out later if there's anything left to wipe again.
If it's a porous outdoor surface you might need to use a shop vac (with a disposable bag to save replacing your filter and further cleaning) after soaking the area with vinegar.
I use this method on indoor engineered wood as well (liquid accidents stick litter spray like glue).

I dont have a clumpy mess, its more like a smooth, dry white film. I used vinegar to no avail. Any suggestions for that? HELP!!
