Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
- 1/2 cup margarine
- 2 tsp. lemon juice
- 2 egg whites (unbeaten)
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 cups fresh strawberries or 1 pkg. frozen strawberries, 10oz. (reduce sugar to 2/3 cup for frozen)
- 1 cup whipped cream
Directions
Mix first flour, brown sugar, nuts, and margarine. Sprinkle in a 9 inch pan and bake at 350 degrees F for 20 minutes or until brown. After baking, remove 1/3 of the crumbs and set aside. Spread remainder in 9x13 pan. Combine egg whites, sugar, berries, and lemon juice in large bowl; beat at high speed for 10 minutes. Fold in whipped cream. Sprinkle reserved crumbs on top and freeze for 6 hours.
