Broom Foot Cleaner

If you have an old bristle broom that you are about to retire, put it to good use as a boot and shoe cleaner by your front or back door. Cut the handle about halfway and bury the remaining handle in the ground. Leave the bristles pointing up in the air for people to wipe their feet on.

that's an especially nice idea considering how handy it will be when there is snow - keep one in your vehicle too - to dust off so as it melts off - it's a little less likely to soak thru shoes or coats -- also keep a couple towels in the back seat to dry off a bit & i have even kept a cpl pairs of dry socks under the seat for when we get that soaked - to help keep us from getting sick-- it will definately be "getting sick" weather soon - i would like to see what everyone does as preventive measures taken to try to stay well thru icky weather
