ALMAY is the BEST product for all skin types. dermatologists said so. hypoallergenic- (designed to reduce or minimize the possibility of an allergic response). eco friendly brand, 97.4% natural, non-comedogenic- (proven to not clog pores and does not create acne)
I agree with what Cyinda said. There is also a new mascara out that has been advertised on the telly lately that has some shimmer to it...stay away from that one as well. Physician's Formula is a brand that is for sensitive eyes and is widely available: http://www.physiciansformula.com/en-us/staticpage/about-us.html
Here is their mascara page: http://www.physiciansformula.com/en-us/product/eyes/mascara.html
I have never tried them as they can be pricey but there are several natural type mascaras available in the Natural Food stores and Food Co-ops. Also...mascara is said to have a shelf life of 3 months. And do not 'pump' the wand in the bottle.

My daughter has a rare eye disease & has to be very careful of what kind of mascara she wears or it can damage her cornea. She has to wear a mascara that says "safe for contact lens wearers". Usually Neutrogena brand. The main thing to look for are 3 things: 1) don't buy a "waterproof" mascara & 2) be sure there's NO scent added, this is VERY important & 3) no "lengthening" fibers... In other words, look for a mascara that only darkens the eyelashes & doesn't have the tiny fibers that lengthen & widen the lashes.
Your safest bet is an eyelash tint. A tint darkens the lashes but has no fibers. For example: "Neutrogena Clean Lash Tint" (available at any drug store for under $9). You may also try: "Revlon Colorstay Overtime Lash Tint Mascara" but I don't know if it's as safe as the Neutrogena products which have no scent added & Neutrogena is known for keeping their products safe & allergy free. Stay away from the "Lash Stiletto" by Maybelline because it's highly scented (strange for a mascara!) & tends to flake off (read the reviews!)
---> Look for the words "Safe for contact lens wearers" & the brand "Neutrogena" & you'll be on the right track. Stay away from mascara's that say "lengthening" or "super thick lashes" etc.
