Instead of trying all those clothes on my kids each season to see what fits (and my kids get tired after the first outfit), I lay an outfit (pants and shirt) that fit them just right on the bed as a pattern. I then lay the clothes on top the pattern outfit. Anything shorter or smaller than what is on the pattern outfit goes into the resale pile. This is very quick way to sort kids clothes.
