Ruby is a 1 1/2 years old Australian Shepard. We adopted Ruby 2 weeks ago at the Humane Society, along with a Border Collie we named Dash.
Ruby loves to play with her frisbee - she is a great jumper. She also likes to bark at airplanes as they fly over, snuggle with her new family and wrestle with her new brother Dash. Ruby is gentle and sweet, and learns something new every day!
We have an Aussie and adopted her from Aussie Rescue. Our first experience with the breed. Love the no scent luxurious fur, sweet loving temperament. They're not called velcro dogs for nothing. Sending a paws up to Ruby from Tessa!
Absolutely love Aussies. Your Ruby is beautiful. Aussies have a great sense of humor and are very much a family member. We had our Sydney (a blue merle) for 17 short years and we still miss his goofiness.
We have an Australian shepherd as well. Fritz is 14+ yrs old and officially retired from the cattle herding business. In his day, he was a great herder, guard dog and protector, and loved to play fetch and take walks. The picture is from a few years back, when he still had some spring in him :) They are a great breed!
