Tulips, lawn mowers, and garage sales all signal the arrival of spring. Yard sales can be great places to select toys for your preschooler. Here are some pointers to make certain the toys you buy are "treasures" instead of "trash."

When looking for children's items remember all the recalls due to lead in products, clothing and toys. Cheap is not good when it challenges the health. When in doubt, DON'T BUY. This same theory goes for inexpensive stores like $ stores, etc, and thrift shops.
