Cranachan

This is a good desert for a special occasion.

Ingredients:

  • 50g (approx. 1/4 cup) oatmeal
  • half pint of cream
  • 2 Tbsp. of honey
  • 2 Tbsp. of whiskey
  • 300g (approx. 1 1/2 cup) of raspberries

Directions:

Place the oatmeal in a dry pan or skillet. Toast on medium heat till golden brown. Leave to cool. Whisk the cream until stiff, stir in the honey, whiskey and oatmeal. Add layer of raspberries to bottom of glass, cover with cream mixture. Repeat and decorate the top with a couple of raspberries.
