i like to take my old candles and melt them down to make new ones. one of my favorite things is to take an old coffee cup and melt down my wax and pour it in the cup, then i took a white candle and shaved it a little to put on the top and it made it look like a cup of hot chocolate with whipped cream on it. i also used a regular clear glass (6-8oz size)and made a candle of white, put a straw in the side of the glass and it looked like a glass of milk.there are so many things you use in every day living that can be used to re make candles

We combined candle making and bottle-cutting,
and since my husband enjoyed working with wood,
many times we added wood to our projects.

It was a wonderful craft and supplied us with gifts
for our many friends, especially at Christmas time.

But as crafts often do, the candle making gave
way to another fun activity...that of making our own
paper, then it was box-making and decorating.
I'm not sure what people do in their spare time when
they don't enjoy crafts.
