2 drops of antibacterial dishwashing liquid such as Ajax
(optional)pinch of cinnamon
Directions
Shake well. Spray every 8 to ten days. Water well before and after spraying. Don't spray blooms and don't wash spray off. Make new spray each time you spray as the chlorine content will weaken
I would be very leary using bleach in any solutions for spraying of any types of my flowers. Would try the baking soda, dish soap and oil method before I ever use bleach.

Wow, powerful ingredients. Is this really good for the roses? Anyone with an organic recipe? Thanks!

Mix a capful of ammonia in a gallon of water then put into a spray bottle. This will kill the bugs on your rose bushes and make the roses bloom more healthily.

RE: Homemade Spray for Rose Bushes
Hm-m-m, the long draping ends of my bushes were wonderfully healthy until all of these weeks of rain, which caused Black Spot, but no bugs. I wonder if the Ammonia would help that? I doubt it, but I do need to do something, if only to thin out the growth to allow more air to circulate...and VERY SOON before
it spreads too much.
God bless you. : ) (05/31/2007)
