Stretching 13-Bean Soup Mix

I priced 13-bean soup mix recently and thought it was very expensive. I still had some at home. The recipe called for 2 cups of the mix. Instead I used 1/2 cup of the mix and 1/2 cup each of three kinds of cheaper beans I had on hand. That way I had a good variety but for less money.
