I came up with this last night to use up ground beef. I was tired of the same old burgers and meatloaf.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • cracker crumbs (enough to hold mixture together)
  • 1/4-1/2 cup chopped onion
  • a little dale's sauce (optional)
  • 1 can condensed cream mushroom soup
  • 1/2 soup can milk

Directions

Mix all except milk and soup together, and form into thick patties. Brown on both sides in nonstick skillet (may need to spray with cooking spray). Mix soup and milk in bowl, pour over patties. Cover and simmer about 1/2 hr, turning patties once, and stirring sauce a few times. Serve with extra sauce poured on patties.

I served with mashed potatoes and corn, putting sauce on potatoes. I also made a dump cake for dessert. Found this to be a very quick, easy, and frugal menu, since these ingredients are things most have on hand. My picky family loved them!

What is Dale's Sauce?

Editor's Note: It looks like a spicy sauce. Here's a link for it.
