Remember when those teacup/teapot sets were very popular as gifts for anyone you didn't know well? Well as a teacher I got a few of them. They did not work very well because the pot got so hot you couldn't handle it. What it is great for is a sugar bowl and creamer! I put the sugar in the teacup and the creamer in the teapot and voila! a very cute very functional sugar bowl and creamer that everyone comments on. Now I buy them and give them not as teapots but as table art for sugar and cream.
