I have 32 table centerpieces in a pink theme that I will sell for cheap cheap! They are acrylic columns about 20 inches tall with tiny pink floral vine in the bottom, pink ribbon around center and white votive candle in top. They looked amazing at my daughter's wedding yesterday and we don't have room to store them. We hand made them and a pic is available if you contact me at essbee83 @ yahoo. com (remove spaces). I also have 4 really cool silk rose cone trees for table decor also. If you want this stuff, email me and we will negotiate price. You can do a wedding on a budget! We did silk flowers for everything and saved tons. I even made the corsages and boutineers and got great compliments. Good luck with your weddings!

Hello, I am just now getting ready for my wedding and I need tall vases for calla lilies for my centerpieces. I got my flowers at Michaels for .50 each but I can only find vases that are about 10-25 dollars apiece. Where can I find some cheap tower vases or just tall 20 inch vases.

We changed our location and no longer need the few hundred paper lanterns that we ordered. They are all white and have battery packs for some. They would look beautiful floating in a tent and you don't have to run cords! I am disappointed our new location's ceilings are too low but I hope I can make your day more beautiful. 24 Pack Battery Lights (240)** Bulk Paper Lanterns, 20" White Bamboo Rib (114) Bulk Paper Lanterns, 16" White Bamboo Rib (289)
**require 2 AAA batteries, not included Please email me at heileras@msu.edu if you are interested.

Hi Farrah, You had mentioned that you wish to have candles as part of your wedding decor. I make some tea light candle holders that are perfect for wedding reception tables or for wherever you would need them. I sell them locally here in Eugene Oregon and on e-bay. You can view them at http://stores.ebay.com/The-Golden-Stone. This will take you right to my store. I've attached a picture of one as an example. I can offer you a discount for multiple candle holders purchased. Good luck....Lori

This is for the crafty bride. And I hope this will help you FARRAH. First you need two different size plastic champagne glasses from the party store. One is the Large Margarita glass w/ base and the other is the Champagne glass. You can leave the larger glass plain or use acrylic paint and paint the inside stem of the glass. And maybe the bottom half, using your colors. I would suggest using gold. you'll also need the green flora form, (you can find it at the dollar store to save money) cut the form block in half cover the top and sides of the form with moss, and hot glue the form to the inside bottom of the glass.
Arrange your silk flowers in the form, ( trailing greenery is a nice touch). Leave the center for the smaller champagne glass. First make a hole in the center of your arrangement with the stem of the smaller glass. Then with a low temp glue glue pull the glass out and put glue around the stem bottom. Insert the glass back in the center. Add water and a floating candle. I hope this helps. Take care and many blessings.

We are from TX and gettin married in our hometown on his family's property in OCT 2008. We are renting a big white tent and I am hoping to get some good advice about where to buy a large amount of Tulle to decorate the ceiling of the tent. Does anyone here have access to a good amount of Tulle or do you know where I can find it for a good price? Or if you have a lot of tulle from your wedding I'll be willing to buy it from you. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

My husband and I eloped last year the day before he deployed and are planning a wedding in july at my uncle's house outside. I found this website that sells round white chinese lanterns for as low as .90. Then for a 50 foot cord with 50 bulbs for 33.00. it's chineselanternstore.com. we're going to string them up everywhere and since its a summer wedding we've decided to go with every color possible so we're getting a couple different colored lanterns to place every so often.

This sounds ridiculous, but it's the best piece of advice I can give (and have, many many times): Figure out what you want, then figure out how to get it. Our wedding was two years ago, we were given a small but adequate budget by my parents. We took this approach to planning, and didn't have to "settle" on anything. We got EXACTLY what we wanted. I wanted real roses for flowers (exotic and imported none-the-less). I went to the florist, told them exactly what I wanted, and how much I wanted to pay. He quoted me within 30 cents. I took this approach with the entire wedding and everything was absolutely perfect. So that's my advice. Don't keep searching for "cheap" ideas, figure out what you want, and then find a way to get it. That might mean doing it yourself (I spent two weeks gluing ribbons on favor boxes because I couldn't find what I liked) and it might mean visiting some interesting places (we searched through a HUGE glass warehouse to locate the votive candle holders we wanted, for the price we wanted), and it might even mean enlisting your husband-to-be (my professional graphic designer husband hand-made our gorgeous invitations), but it CAN be done. (Note: I also did this all while working a full time job, so even though it sounds time-intensive, it can be done with a little help from friends and family... my mom interviewed and hired the rental company, after I gave her a detailed list of what I was looking for and what I was willing to pay for it). Just don't take no for an answer. You get one wedding, and it should be everything you want it to be. Even two years after, many people have told me that ours was the most gorgeous wedding they'd ever attended, and that it looked very expensive. I don't tell them that it wasn't. :D Good luck with yours!

My daughter is getting married in Aug of 2007-- we've been trying to save as much money as possible--She already bought the gown-- we got a stock dress at a local bridal boutique bought it "as is"-- which basically means we have to pay for the alterations-- it pretty much just needs the hem done for her-- it was an 800 dollar dress- got it for less than 400-- it's absolutly beautiful witha chapel length train and hand sewn pearls and hand embroidery. Her colors are pink and white. A friend of mine is getting married this weekend and her colors are pink and white-- I offered to help her docorate and she offered me a lot of the deocoration materials after in exchange (though that is NOT why I made my offer)--She has over 150 yards of pink and white tulle-- The wedding is being held at a restaurant on a pond with a floating gazebo--the ceremony will take place on t he gazebo and the reception is at the same restaurant-- chose afternoon instead of evening-- instantly saved money on the meal by getting luncheon menu instead of dinner--Am ordering alot of decorating supplies form oriental trading and found small plastic swans at the local dollar store to fill with after dinner mints. Making the invites ourselves on t he computer with card stok and we bought the envelopes at staples--muted pink granite-- used my greeting card factory program and created matching set of invite, envelope and response card-- doing rsvp cards as postcards-- instant saving of over 10 dollars just in postage. A co-worker who is an excellent amatuer photographer is going to be the photographer. The grooms' pastor is doing the ceremony and has asked that he be allowed to do it as his gift to the groom so no charge for officiant--we will save on decorations simply because the restaurant is beautiful--almost english tea garden--daughter is an animal science major and a nature lover so the restaurant has a wall of windows looking over the gardens and pond with geese, and ducks and peacocks and pygmie goats! she loves it! guys are wearing suits instead of tuxes and they are only having a maid of honor and a best man--we are picking up things as we find them and for center pieces we are looking a t doing wishing wells surrounded by flower rings of white and light pink roses set on a mirrored tile. For favors we are doing wedding greeting pens in silver-each click of the pen displays a different greeting-$4.95/dozen from oriental trading with note cards at each place setting for the guests to write "well wishes" t o the bride and groom which they will place in t he wishing wells and later on I will collage them into a frame for my daughter. They have opted for no alcohol and the restaurant has agreed to not charge extra for not having a bar, and they are looking at doing a sparkling cider toast instead of champagne--The room for the reception is the 'garden room" and is all flowers and white wicker so that really cuts down on having to decorate so much. Becasue she is having an outdoor ceremony and there is always the concern for the weather-- they made arrangements to rent the main dining room at the restaurant as well-- which they will set up for us as a dnace floor-- and it has a beautiful fireplace--so if the weather doesn't allow for the wedding to be at the gazebo (guests wil be on the lawn) they can have the ceremony in front of the fireplace.

Kim- I am about to have a tropical wedding, and here are somethings i have done. First of all I went to orientaltrading.com to find my wineglasses, and other decorations. (Tikki torches for like 2.00!) Then I went to a beach store where they sell real seashells for really cheap and bought up a bunch of those. Michaels is a life saver because they have a bunch of reasonably priced things there. I got my lighted arch there for 30.00 My centerpieces are candles and seashells. I am going to get a glass bowl and fill it about 1/3 of the way with sand and then put a big conch shell in the middle. It is very simple but elegant. I also bought floating hibiscus candles from orientaltrading.com and I will use those as centerpieces also. My advice is to just shop around and buy up any tropical flowers you like, and keep your eyes open for good deals. My wedding is in July and I still have some more things to do. Does anyone know where to get reasonibly prices pew bows? Thanks, and good luck with the planning!

MY DAUGHTER HAD A SEPTEMBER WEDDING FIVE YEARS AGO AND WE WERE ON A VERY TIGHT BUDGET. SHE HAD A VERY ELEGANT CANDLELIGHT WEDDING IN OUR CHURCH. WE DECORATED THE STAIRWELL WITH WHITE TULLE AROUND TINY WHITE TWINKLE LIGHTS AND TIED WITH SATIN WHITE RIBBON. WE RENTED THE TALL CANDLE TREES AND DECORATED THEM WITH TULLE, SATIN RIBBON AND IVY. WE PUT BORROWED FIRNS AROUND THE CHURCH. THE RECEPTION WAS AWAY FROM THE CHURCH. WE USED WHITE TABLECLOTHS WITH TULLE LAYERED OVER IT. WE ALSO MADE DIFFERENT HEIGHTS FOR THE FOOD BY PLACING DIFFERENT HEIGHT BOXES UNDER THE CLOTHS (VERY ATTRACTIVE) ON THE TULLE WE PUT OUT CLEAR MARBLES, FLOWER PETALS AND OF COURSE HAD CANDLES IN GLASS AROUND. THE TABLES WERE SET IN WHITE CLOTH WITH TULLE JUST IN THE CENTERS AROUND THE CANDLES AND WE STREW PETALS AND MARBLES AROUND THIS. WE PUT CAMERAS ON THE TABLES FOR CANDID SHOTS. WE HAD FINGER FOOD THAT WE EITHER MADE OR ORDERED. I HAD A FRIEND MIND THE TABLES FOR US. THIS GAVE US MORE MONEY TO SEND ON A DJ FOR DANCING, ETC.

I had a silver and crystal wedding and found a place to get some decorations (they are beaded curtains and they are so beautiful) at http://www.shopwildthings.com. Everything came in time and the price was right. I am not really one to plug online stores but the reception walls sparkled and everyone freaked out over the beaded curtains. They have bubble crystal beaded curtains and silver bubble crystal curtains and that's what we used. (

Farrah - YOU CAN BUY MIRROR TILES AT WALMART REAL CHEAP, PLACE YOUR CANDLES (ANY COLOR) ON THE MIRROR TILES AND TOSS SOME ROSE PETALS AROUND IT. THE LIGHT FROM THE CANDLES WILL REFLECT OFF THE MIRROR, MAKING YOUR CENTERPIECES LOOK BIGGER AND MUCH MORE SOPHISTICATED.
MY COLORS WERE A CLASSIC BLACK AND WHITE, AND I GOT BIG VASES AND GEM STONES AT WALMART AND ADDED FRESH BOUQUETS OF ROSES, ALL ON THE MIRROR TILES. BUT IF YOU WANT CANDLES, THAT WILL BE GREAT TOO! WEDDINGS ARE SPECIAL AND THEY'RE SUPPOSE TO REFLECT YOUR INDIVIDUAL STYLE AND TASTE, HAVE FUN AND BE CREATIVE! AND MOST IMPORTANTLY... CONGRATULATIONS AND GOOD LUCK!

I made decorations for the aisles: artificial flowers stuck into styrofoam balls (one color, no green) hung them with organza/satin ribbon, attached by florists' pins. after the ceremony & before the reception, we had someone take off the ribbon, and place these on the table for centerpieces with candles on either side. it worked out very well, very cheap too!

Hi! I am getting married in August 05 and one of my best friends was just married in June. The best advice I can give you is to buy your roses from marisol blooms they have a package of 250 fresh roses for $155 you can not beat that (and if you can e-mail me alligirl27@hotmail.com) then buy some vases the dollar store has a great selection. If you want ad some fake gems in the colors of your wedding it gives it a little extra umph! I hope your wedding day is perfect. Just remember it's all about you and the love of your life and no one else.

What day in September are you getting married? I am also getting married on September 16, 2005. If your wedding is after mine I would be happy to sell you my decorations at a very cheap price. I have 50 glass single rose vases. I will have a single rose and babys breath in each vase and then 4 glass candle holders with a votive in each lined up down the table. I have 120 glass votives. I also have 2 strands of very nice red rose garland. They are huge red roses and they look almost real. I will also have 50 white tableclothes and I have 2 sets of red rose topiaries. One set is about 2 feet tall and the other set is almost 4 feet tall. Let me know if you would like any of these things. aperry21@hotmail.com

My centerpieces are going to be balloon bouquets. Party City and Card Factory outlet recently ran sales on balloons. I was able to place my order for silver heart mylar balloons for 99 cents each (reg. $2.49) for Sept and pearlized latex balloons for $2.99/dz (reg $4.99/dz) They also had their weights on sale for 59 cents ea(reg $1.19). Hi Farrah - I am also getting married in September 05. CONGRATS! Anyways - our colors are Cranberry, Diamond White, and Silver for an accent color. I am making my centerpieces/table decorations with the cake plate size Chinet plates (chinet is more durable than standard paper plates) I am going to decorate the edges of the plates with silk flowers (using a glue gun to attach the flowers to the plate) my flowers are red and white roses and other red, and white flowers I found at the dollar store. I'm going to leave enough room in the middle of the plate to fit a 4" tall pillar candle - I purchased white ones at the dollar store for $1.00 each. I am having a destination wedding. So this is going to be perfect for traveling. I'll do all of the plates ahead of time and then assemble them at the hall the night before the wedding :) Also - check into renting a helium tank or purchasing one at Walmart. Then you can do a lot of your decorations with balloons. That's a relatively cheap idea too. You could get more fancy with it by using a decorative glass or weight of some sort to hold the balloons down on the tables. I just thought I would share my ideas with you. I am looking for an EASY way to make my church pew bows.... I cannot tie a bow :) Anyone have a suggestion? Good Luck Farrah.

In wine glasses, place colored or clear stones/marbles. Fill half the glass then add a votive candle on top. For the bottom, wrap with a piece of tule and tie with a ribbon.

These were basically my colors! I used a rose red color & white. All of my real flowers were roses & my artificial flowers were all white. I bought white tablecloths at Sam's & found some plain cotton material at Wal-Mart in the right color to make table runners. I then used mirror tiles (Lowe's) in the middle of each table. I bought tall pillar candle holders at Hobby Lobby for about $1.25 each & candles at a local dollar store. I also used lots of votive candles around the tables. Check out Wal-Mart for these. They have them in 12-packs with candles already with them for about $6.00. I bought 6-foot white rose garlands from www.save-on-crafts.com for 99 cents each & used them running down the tables. We also used these on the rails outside of the church & on our arch. Everything was very elegant looking but it didn't break our budget.

If candles are your centerpieces for reception tables, ask around for mirror tiles. If you can't find them to borrow, some place like Home Depot would have them and they're not real expensive. Use candles of different heights on the mirror tiles and since you mentioned roses, lay one long stemmed single rose on it with the candles. The light from candles shows up so pretty on mirror tiles. One way to "dress up" a simply decorated table is to have your table already SET with plates, napkins and cutlery. It fills out an otherwise empty table.

Get yourself a copy of Martha Stewart weddings. In it she has a centerpiece where she took some small bowls (you could probably get similar ones at the dollar store) and floated the head of a rose (or another flower) in each one. It looked beautiful. If this idea doesn't work for you check out her book anyway she has some great ideas that would be easy to replicate- even on a budget.

We bought 4 inch white ribbon and a gold paint pen. Three strips of ribbon, full length of table. Lay them crossing each other in the center. With Gold paint pen write in cursive on both ends... Love is Patient... Love is Kind... Love never fails. Something in the center. Tulle bunched together, held with white wire, flowers, artificial around the base of a wine glass with a voltive. Tulle is cheap and goes far, very fairy tale- like. Photos on tables of you and hubby to be, child photos, dating photos...
You can also fill bowls or whatever with that plant gel, just add water, crystal looking holds candles, pretty. www.plantgel.com

You can buy 2 dozen roses from sams or costco for around $14. They will order your color if you ask ahead. You could pick up tea cups at thrift stores or borrow from friends and put small arrangements on each table. I have also seen candles in wine glasses, which looks nice. Another nice centerpiece is a glass bowl with floating candles and rose petals sprinkled in. Again, you could borrow some bowls.""""

i recommend not using candles with smell as people will be eating and the smell doent go together. but you could have colored votives in jars with gold glitter. or get wallpaper boarder that matches you colors, lay that across you table then have the pretty colored netting kinda bunched up under your candles. i have seen this at a luncheon it was really pretty.

I am not sure where you are from, but here we have Aldi grocery stores. You can buy 6 roses any day of the week for $2.99. If you let them know ahead of time, they will even order extra of just what you need. As far as table decorations, at my sister's wedding, my mom collected wine goblets in various shapes and sizes from the local St. Vincent dePaul's and Goodwill. We put 5 of them on each table with candles in them and then sprinkled confetti and real ivy (cut from a friends yard) around the base. We made sure that each table had a variety of glasses, so there were different heights and looks. Very pretty and elegant. It would match your wine and champagne theme.

Decorate the candles with inexpensive stretchy bracelets already made or buy fringe and beads by the yard and hot glue on. You can sit the candle in glass rocks inside a glass bowl. You could just sit them on a doily and sprinkle confetti around.
