Honey Crispies

The spices in this recipe make this treat so delicious.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 2 cups sifted flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • Ad
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. allspice
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup crushed bran flakes

Directions:

Cream butter, continue creaming adding honey slowly in a fine stream. Sift together flour, salt, baking soda and spices. Mix in bran flakes. Add to honey-butter mixture. Chill for 1 hour or until firm enough to roll 1/8 inch thick on floured board. Cut with floured cookie cutter. Bake on greased baking sheet at 350 degrees F for 10-12 minutes. Makes 3 dozen.

Sounds good recipe for kids and diabetics no sugar and the honey wld. Give the diabetics energy lord knows they need more of that. Any way I suppose it would be ok to use bran buds in place of bran flakes.
